Westerberg Law, L.L.C., is a small law firm looking to hire a full-time in-office paralegal. We are a law firm dedicated to informing, empowering, and advocating for the community, and we are passionate about serving others through the law! Our firm handles immigration, family law, and veterans law matters. This position would be an in-person position in our office in Cranbury, New Jersey.
The ideal candidate must:
· Be bilingual in English and Spanish;
· Be comfortable working closely with clients who are in very difficult places in their lives;
· Be punctual and able to work independently and manage deadlines;
· Possess a disciplined attention to detail;
· Be comfortable working with, and advocating for, members of the LGBTQ community;
· Be willing to learn and ready to grow with the firm.
Job responsibilities include:
· Answering and making calls;
· Opening client files;
· Attending to client walk-ins;
· Drafting client affidavits;
· Preparing first drafts of immigration application packets;
· Preparing motions for our immigration court cases; and
· Assisting with office organization and systems integration.
This job is paid hourly, and the starting rate is $15.00/hour. Pay is negotiable for more experienced candidates. There is lots of room for growth with our firm, and we are looking for a candidate ready for a long-term opportunity.
